Position: Forklift Operator

Location: Inkster and Route 90

Position Summary

One of our clients is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator  to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting product between coolers and the production area while ensuring materials are available to support efficient production. This role also includes pallet handling, inventory organization, and maintaining a clean and organized cooler environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to transport product between coolers and the production area.
• Supply production lines with the required materials and remove finished product as needed.
• Stack, down-stack, and organize pallets safely and efficiently.
• Wrap pallets for storage and shipping.
• Use an RF scan gun to accurately scan and track inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of coolers and storage areas.
• Follow all food safety, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other warehouse and production support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience is required.
• Experience using an RF scan gun is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Requirements

• CSA-approved steel-toe boots.
• High-visibility safety vest.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Ability to work a schedule with split days off.

Compensation

• Starting wage: $18.23 per hour
• $19.69 per hour after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.
