Forklift Operator (Warehouse)

Pay: $16.00–$19.00 per hour
About the Opportunity:
Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator for a full-time, permanent position with one of our valued clients in the distribution industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming shipments accurately and efficiently
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and organize products
- Pick and pack orders based on customer requirements
- Maintain accurate inventory organization and warehouse cleanliness
- Prepare shipping documentation and ensure all outgoing orders are properly recorded
- Inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality, reporting any discrepancies
- Initiate and document claims for damaged, missing, or incorrect items
- Support general warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Valid forklift certification is considered an asset
- Experience working with fresh produce is required
- Familiarity with RF scanners is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work weekends as required
