General Labor - Forklift Operator (Charlotte)

Staffmax, a leading logistics and transportation company, is seeking a motivated Forklift Operator to support our client in setting up a new warehouse. This is a temporary assignment expected to last for approximately 5 weeks. If you are detail-oriented, physically fit, and eager to join a dynamic team, this opportunity is perfect for you!
 

Location: Charlotte, NC

Job Type: Temporary, Full-time Contract

Duration: 5 Weeks

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (8-hour shifts, Day shift)

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and arrange materials as required.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and handling of goods.
• Conduct routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance or safety issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or storage area.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

• Valid Forklift Operator License: Possess a valid forklift operator license or certification.
• Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator with a track record of safe and efficient operation.
• Safety Conscious: Strong emphasis on safety practices and guidelines.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move heavy loads as required.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate placement of goods and materials.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
• Reliability: Punctual and dependable to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

PPE/Dress Code:

• All workers are required to wear the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • Steel-Toe Boots
  • High-Visibility Vest
  • Hardhat
  • Safety Goggles
  • Gloves
