Staffmax is assisting our client, a leading logistics and transportation company to set up a new warehouse in Victoria.
We are looking for motivated staff to support our client in building new racks and other general labour duties.
This is a temporary assignment expected to last for approximately 5 weeks. If you are detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50lbs, have experience working with tools, and eager to join a dynamic team, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Location: Victoria, BC
Job Type: Temporary, Full-time Contract
Duration: 5 Weeks
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (8-hour shifts, Day shift)
Responsibilities:
- Safely move, stack, and arrange materials as required.
- Use of hand tools such as mallets and drills to assemble warehouse racks.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and handling of goods.
- Install safety signs around the warehouse
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or storage area.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
- Valid Forklift Operator License: Possess a valid forklift operator license or certification.
- Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator with a track record of safe and efficient operation.
- Safety Conscious: Strong emphasis on safety practices and guidelines.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move heavy loads as required.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate placement of goods and materials.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
PPE/Dress Code:
