Staffmax is sending staff to help our client set up a new warehouse. This assignment is expected to last at least 3 weeks.
Time- 8am to 5pm
Monday to Friday
Work rules:
- Distribution centers are notoriously in an area where there's no quick access to food so it is advised to bring lunch must be in a clear bag
- No large bags purses or backpacks inside warehouse
- Absolutely no weapons of any type in Amazon this includes pocketknives
- Absolutely NO CELL PHONES or electronic devices used in warehouse
- No food or drink on floor except for a clear water bottle with water only
- No smoking in warehouse, limited access time and access for smoking, if you're a smoker nicotine gum is advised Must in their work area on time ready to work this includes coming back break & lunch
- Associates are to stay in their designated work area no wandering around warehouse.
- Breaks & lunch will be in a designated area, associates are expected pick up after lunch and breaks
- PPE must be worn at all times and all safety procedures & policies must be followed.
- All injuries regardless of severity must be reported immediately
PPE
- Hard hat,
- Steel/Composite toe work shoes/boots,
- Gloves
- Safety Vest,
- Safety Glasses
- Shirt with a sleeve,
- Long pants that cover from WAIST TO ANKLE, no sweats, or scrubs those are not pants
- Must have valid photo ID
Responsibilities/ Requirements:
- Loading and unloading material
- Helping with assembly of material handling carts, shelves/rack and workstations
- Helping to Install signs, stickers on racks, floor, etc.
- Clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials to eliminate possible hazards.
- Using, cleaning, and maintaining variety of hand tools.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to commit to 2 or 3-week project
- Must be able to work 8 -10-hour day
- Comfortable working in a construction atmosphere
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs.
- Knowledge and ability to use small hand tools supplied by client such as screwdriver, allen wrench, cordless scooter driver, utility knife etc.
- Relevant work experience repetitive assembly
- Mechanical aptitude and good dexterity
- Ability to pick up repetitive task
