Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is currently hiring for an HR Manitoba Business Partner for our client in Winnipeg. This role reports to the Director of HR

This is a Permanent term position covering a maternity leave until October, however, there is a strong possibility of the company hiring you for permanent long term.

In-person company interviews February 13-16, phone screen to take place prior.

Compensation and Benefits:
· $79-90,000 base
· Once hired permanently after October you are able to join RRSP Match and bonus program.

Your duties and role overview:
· This role focuses on employer relations including human rights, investigations, compensation classification is very data driven. Operational excellence is a key component to this role
· You will only be a back-up to recruitment and sit in the odd interview
· Maintaining an effective level of business acumen and able to understand spreadsheets
· Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Conducting recurring meetings with business units.
· Employee champion and change agent.
· Providing day-to-day performance management guidance.
· Providing guidance on restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
· Managing and resolving employee relations issues and conducting thorough and objective investigations.

Requirements:
· Diploma, Certificate or bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Commerce or equivalent years of experience
· Minimum 3 years of experience working in Human Resources as a Generalist or similar role
· Valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle.
· Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
· HRIS systems experience
