Hiring Lawn Maintenance & Snow Removal Contractor

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working as an independent contractor rather than dealing with the hassle of running a business, be able to deliver high-quality services consistently, and meet the following requirements:

The client focuses on the residential yard maintenance sector and the work available are:

?Lawn and yard maintenance including lawn cutting and trimming, core aeration, power raking, edging, fertilizer applications, flower bed maintenance, light trash pick-up, and general upkeep of residential properties

?Snow removal operations including hand shoveling, spreading ice Melter, the use of gas-powered backpack blowers, and snow blowers

Job Responsibilities

? Clean background checks

? Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Landscaper, or Grounds Maintenance role, working with a variety of lawn maintenance and snow clearing equipment.

? You must own your own vehicle, drive to each property, and transport equipment.

? You must own your own landscaping and snow removal equipment such as mowers, weed whackers, and blowers.

? Your own business registration, GST number, WCB/WSIB insurance, vehicle insurance, cellphone, and data plan

? Willing to work a flexible schedule that’s necessary to perform the services (i.e. nights, weekends, holidays), work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, and wear applicable personnel protective equipment at all times (i.e., safety glasses, steel toed boots) when required.

? Must possess safe work habits with an awareness of safe work procedures regarding hazardous products, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
