Description:

Our client, located near Polo Park, is looking for an experienced and results driven Human Resources Business Partner to join their team for the balance of a parental leave. 

Reporting straight to the President, the right fit for this role will have an understanding of business functions, legislation knowledge, and experience with policy development and implementing HR initiatives.

What You'll Do: 

 

  • Manage a small group of administrative employees 
  • Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions throughout the company 
  • Be involved with full-cycle human resources and employee relations strategies  
  • Monitor trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies 
  • Povide support to the management and leadership team for various HR related functions  
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation 
  • Recruitment and selection of external and internal employees when required 
  • Work with management to align operational and HR initiatives
  • Manage strong work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Execute training and development opportunities to all employees 
  • Be a resource for hourly and frontline employees to provide support 
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations if required
  • Keep up with changing legislation and policy requirements 
  • Manage various electronic and paper HR systems
  • Other duties as assigned 

Who You Are: 

 

  • Degree or diploma in human resources 
  •  3+ years of experience in a similar role
  • CPHR designation an asset 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with an empathetic approach 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Sound judgment and effective decision making skills 
  • Proficient with Microsoft office Suite and Google Drive applications
