Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is assisting our Manufacturing and Production client in finding their newest HR Generalist, who will advance in 3-4 years into a Managerial role.
We are seeking an experienced HR professional for a fast-paced, multi-site operation. Offices and plants are in Canada and the United States.

Pay Perks and Benefits
- Up to $65,000/yr

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees and leaders on HR-related questions and concerns
- Champion a positive employee experience across the full lifecycle, including onboarding, development, engagement, and offboarding
- Coach and support managers on performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary matters
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, and procedures
- Coordinate training and development initiatives that foster individual and team growth
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection
- Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports on key HR metrics
- Lead or contribute to HR projects and initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources
- Minimum of 3 years’ HR experience
- USA experience is a strong asset
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
- Experience with payroll inquiries and compliance requirements
- A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and offer practical solutions
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while keeping processes and documentation current
- Criminal record check and references will be completed before the offer stage.
