      Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is assisting our Manufacturing and Production client in finding their newest HR Generalist, who will advance in 3-4 years into a Managerial role.

      We are seeking an experienced HR professional for a fast-paced, multi-site operation. Offices and plants are in Canada and the United States.

      Employees tell me it is a very friendly, professional, close-knit team. Working in a very busy office, juggling work, the time will fly by!

Pay Perks and Benefits
  • Up to $65,000/yr

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and leaders on HR-related questions and concerns
  • Champion a positive employee experience across the full lifecycle, including onboarding, development, engagement, and offboarding
  • Coach and support managers on performance management, employee relations, and disciplinary matters
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies
  • Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, processes, and procedures
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives that foster individual and team growth
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection
  • Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports on key HR metrics
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and initiatives
What You’ll Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources
  • Minimum of 3 years’ HR experience
  • USA experience is a strong asset
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with payroll inquiries and compliance requirements
  • A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential information
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and offer practical solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities while keeping processes and documentation current
  • Criminal record check and references will be completed before the offer stage.
