Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is assisting our client in a North America wide Manufacturing facility with hiring for a Human Resources Manager.

This role is 1 hour outside of Birmingham

This role will focus on being responsible for leadership of the human resources team in the delivery of Human Resources services to the organization. Additionally, you will work in partnership with the Safety, Environmental & Compliance, Learning Institute and Payroll and Benefits teams in ensuring processes/procedures are adhered to and goals are met to meet department and organizational objectives.

Must Haves:

  • Post secondary education in a related human resources field or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least five years progressive human resources generalist experience with more than three years at a leadership level
  • Knowledge and experience in a full-service HR environment in a high-volume manufacturing environment with exposures in a multi-facility
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time-management, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and to converse in a professional manner and collaborate with all levels of the organization

Duties:

  • Manages the recruitment and selection process to ensure that open positions are filled in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Support planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results through programs including orientation and performance reviews, provide guidance to leadership to coach and discipline employees through effective performance management; counseling employees and leadership.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings. Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of organizational policies, programs, and procedures to improve effectiveness of the organization and the Human Resources function within the organization.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the preparation and maintenance of accurate employee records, files and reports.
  • Ensure the planning, budgeting and execution of company organized employee recognition/engagement events or activities.
  • Responsible for daily benefit plan administration, initiation and implementation of employee benefits programs and governance matters.
  • Plan, administer and control department budget.
  • Develops the organizational structure for the Human Resources Department to ensure that both company and departmental goals and objectives are met. This includes staffing, selecting, orienting and training of Human Resources team members.
