Staffmax is seeking an experienced Information Technology Infrastructure Technician to join our client's team in Huntsville, ON. In this role, you will ensure our IT infrastructure operates smoothly, aligning technology processes with company policies and standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the escalation point for IT troubleshooting, including support for laptops, email, mobile devices, conference room setups, hardware, and networking equipment
- Hardware: Support Dell and Lenovo workstations, iOS/Android devices, printers in both the plant and office
- Network: Support LAN systems with Cisco and HP switches, Wireless Access Points, and both fiber optic and copper cabling
- Collaborate with vendors and plant engineers to maintain workstations used for manufacturing equipment
- Support software and application integration, ensuring seamless operation
- Implement network hardening measures to mitigate cyber threats and enhance data protection
- Install and configure new software, computers, and peripheral devices
- Maintain and update existing software/hardware, perform basic repairs, and install replacement parts as necessary
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Proficient in Active Directory and Office 365
- Experience supporting VOIP and collaboration tools
- Preferred: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or other Cisco certifications
- Experience with WAN systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Aptitude for learning new technologies with a proven track record of success
Education and Experience:
- IT-related degree or relevant industry certifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT, including help desk support, technical troubleshooting, and project management
Work Environment:
This role is based in a manufacturing and office environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, stand, climb, and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Position Type:
