As a Performance Test Manager for Non-Functional Testing, you specialize in the analysis of system interactions and their effects on the overall performance relative to the specified requirements and make recommendations for improvements. This role is responsible for examining and evaluating the performance, availability, scalability and other non- functional requirements for the applications and driving the optimization and tuning of the applications, middleware, and infrastructure architecture.

• Identifying performance and other non-functional requirements and review their suitability and testability
• Acquire, or specify requirements for acquiring, appropriate information on the performance characteristics of hardware, software, network and infrastructure of the end- to-end IT solution
• Examining and evaluating quality, test coverage, traceability of the applications and driving the verification and validation of the functional interfaces to the application infrastructure.
• Designing test strategy and setting the direction for testing to validate environment readiness and help transition solutions into production.
• Recommending test tools and influencing the selection of test methods that adequately test the system.
• Interacting with internal and client cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of the test cases during development and successful transition to production
• Providing technical leadership and assisting with test planning.
• Working with the project manager to identify and plan non-functional testing related activities and deliver a project on time and budget while meeting all quality objectives
• Identifying infrastructure related issues during functional and non functional test phases
• Identify risk areas, understand performance requirements, estimate response and throughput characteristics, and anticipate growth capability for a project
• Perform technical assessment of the feasibility of the performance requirements in light of the outline system architecture

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 8-10 years demonstrated experience in the planning, design, management, execution, and reporting of non-functional tests using appropriate testing tools and techniques.
• Proficiency with performance test tools, LOAD Runner, Apache JMeter and others
• Able to clearly communicate with clients.
• Good understanding of Performance Engineering concepts and analysis
• Experience with analyzing test results and resolving performance-related issues
• Working knowledge of various infrastructure components including networking, messaging, data, test automation, and web-applications.
• Excellent organizational skills to track, monitor, and report testing progress
