Role- IT Security Analyst - Cyber Security
Contract Duration: 1 year Pay Rate- $55-$57.14/hr. Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week Typical Day in Role: • Run 3rd party incident handling, refine and improve response playbooks. • Reporting to Senior Manager, Cyber Problem Management • Monitoring 3rd party events – coordinate general cyber security response to news, intelligence notifications • working with stakeholders around the globe • Bridging communication between technical operations teams and globally based business leadership, and demonstrating an understanding of the business risk in doing so • Compiling and contextualizing investigating data for business consumption • Guiding team to best practice for incident response • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 1. 10+ years of general working experience 2. 3+ years of prior experience in Cybersecurity 3. 1+ year of incident management experience Nice-To-Have Skills: • Bilingual in Spanish is a highly valued asset; Scotiabank has a global presence in Latin America • CISSP and/or CISM certification • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau • Previous experience with project management or delivery, preferably within the banking industry Soft Skills Required: • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics and new technologies • You can demonstrate superior problem solving & decision-making skills to resolve complex work issues • You are adept with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment • You can demonstrate good interpersonal skills to build relationships with both internal and external business partners and vendors • Efficient and thorough note taking skills • Well established organization skills in terms of meeting deadlines and coordinating different work streams of activities Education: • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, business or equivalent work experience • CISM and/or CISSP certifications an asset Best VS. Average Candidate: Ideal candidate has strong incident response experience, is fully bilingual in Spanish, can understand supplier relationships; has ability to organize and guide and interpret for purpose of managing an response, when receiving disparately organized information.
