Industrial Mechanic (Millright)

We are searching for a Millwright Red Seal, Interprovincial or Journeyman /Journeywoman / Journeyperson with problem solving and critical thinking abilities.

Wage: hourly rate based on experience and abilities

Permanent, Full-time

Location: Ottawa

Responsibilities:

• Repair and service malfunctioning equipment and components both in facility and at client location
• Work on a broad range of equipment and machines, and components such as motors, pumps, valves, controls
• Handle installations and decommission/de-mantling of machinery and equipment according to company/equipment plans, blueprints, and other diagrams
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment breakdown, required servicing and preventative maintenance
• Hydraulics and welding an strong asset

Requirements:

• Red Seal Millwright
• Ability to problem solve on the job site
• Proficient with machinery: hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tool

• Clear Criminal record check - please discuss with recruiter as severity is dependant

Hours: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm occasional weekends or out of town work

Car to take home nightly
