Location: Langley, BC (with occasional travel within the Lower Mainland)
Compensation: $35/hour plus overtime
Benefits: Company-provided cellphone and truck
Pay: $35/hr + OT
Staffmax is hiring for our client, a leading traffic management company! We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee their installations department. Candidates with a background in roadbuilding or construction are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor the installation schedule and daily activities, delegating tasks to staff as necessary
- Review and inspect work zones to ensure compliance with drawings, maps, plans, and regulatory specifications
- Address and rectify any deficiencies in a timely manner
- Ensure field crew members receive proper training, certifications, and mentorship
- Follow up with field crews for equipment documentation and time sheets, and complete and submit these daily
- Coordinate with the Install Coordinator to facilitate seamless communication between the office and field work
- Provide daily progress reports
- Conduct comprehensive performance management for direct reports
Qualifications:
- 1-5 years of experience in a similar installation role preferred, with a preference for candidates experienced in traffic-related installations such as guardrails, barrier guards, and signage
- Experience installing overhead sign structures or as an ironworker with structural steel experience is ideal
- Previous supervisory and/or traffic control experience is required
- Ability to drive a one-ton flat-deck truck
- Must pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test (this is a safety-sensitive position with a zero-tolerance policy for marijuana use, both medical and recreational)
- Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License required
