Staffmax is recruiting for our client a Millwright for a temporary position in Brampton.
Location: Brampton, ON
Pay Rate- $33-$36/hr.
Time- Mon- Fri- 6 am to 4:30pm
Saturday- 6 am to 2:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Overhauling and repairing equipment to a high level of standard with minimal supervision/assistance.
- Fabrication of parts for repairs and projects.
- Contacting equipment manufacturers when required.
- Setting up high speed equipment.
- Execute validation documents.
- Assists in developing preventative maintenance tasks and spare parts lists.
- Prepares and completes work orders and task lists for equipment and facility.
- Maintains a safe work environment and follows company safety rules, including: Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Processes and Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate mandates as required.
Required:
- Red Seal Certification as a Licensed Millwright.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to carry out tasks with minimal guidance, direction and/or assistance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to safely and efficiently use hand and shop tools.
Highly Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical/food processing/chemical processing operations including packaging equipment, manufacturing equipment, HVAC, plumbing, compressors, boilers, PLC’s, fabricating, machining, electrical/electronics
- Ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Software.
- Strong fabrication skills.
- TIG and ARC welding experience.
- Familiar with all facility maintenance including boilers, compressors, HVAC system etc.
- Ability to work all shifts
