Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior ERP Specialist with HST experience to support our ERP system and assist with HST-related coding and data management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounting, tax, or ERP systems who is looking to gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with HST coding and tax setup within the ERP system.
- Review transactions to ensure the correct HST codes are applied.
- Assist with inventory and item coding in the ERP system.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate ERP data.
- Identify and correct coding discrepancies.
- Assist with data cleanup and validation.
- Support the accounting team with HST-related ERP questions and issues.
- Perform basic reconciliations and data checks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Provide general ERP support as required.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in ERP, accounting, tax, or finance administration.
- Previous experience with HST/GST in Canada.
- Basic understanding of Canadian HST rules and tax codes.
- Experience working with an ERP system.
- Strong Excel and data-entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and learn new systems quickly.
Preferred
- Experience with inventory/product coding.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, or similar.
- Accounting or bookkeeping background.
- Experience supporting ERP data cleanup or implementation projects.
