Description:

Staffmax is assisting their client to find their next Kitchen Assistant. This position involves various tasks such as ingredient preparation, assembly, and packing, all while maintaining a clean and organized workspace in adherence to health and safety standards.

Location: Portage Avenue
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 4 PM
Term: ongoing until further notice
Food Handler Certificate is an asset

Job Duties:

Clean, peel, and chop ingredients for production.
Cook ingredients as required for production.
Store food in compliance with safety standards.
Assemble deli items accurately.
Pack deli items according to invoices for shipment.
Maintain a sanitary and food-safe work environment, including washing and sanitizing sinks and dishes.
Assist customers as needed.
Ensure kitchen cleanliness by performing sweeping, mopping, and other cleaning duties assigned by the Production Manager.
Fulfill any additional duties assigned by Operations and Kitchen Managers.

Requirements:

Energetic, self-motivated, and possess strong teamwork skills.
Effective communication abilities.
Punctual and reliable.
Proficient in using various kitchen equipment such as ovens, burners, and food processors.
Capable of reading and following recipes, as well as rotating and labeling stock.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift upto 50 lbs.
Availability to work on Statutory Holidays.
