We are seeking motivated individuals who are available full-time from April 2021-November 2021 (weather dependent) until the end of the golf season for one of our client's in Toronto. This is a seasonal work.

Location: Toronto, ON
Pay Rate: $15-19/hr
Time: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
Term: Contract

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform regular golf course maintenance duties such as mowing of greens with walk-behind mowers and ride-on mowers for mowing of fairways and surrounding rough areas/tees
- Perform additional plant maintenance duties including trimming, edging, and weeding areas uncut by mowers
- Operates various types of equipment including utility vehicles, tractors, mowers, string trimmers, and other equipment used for the maintenance of the golf course.
- Perform daily/routine duties including watering/syringing turf areas, fertilizing greens and tees, and evaluating the quality of the golf course as a whole
- Carry out assignment specified by the supervisor on duty and ensure the assignment is completed within the given timeframe
- Ensure the golf course is clean and tidy at all times by performing various clean up duties such as picking up garbage found on the course when necessary
- Return all equipment used for the maintenance of the golf course back to the designated location after completion of assignments and tasks. Remove all garbage and debris.
- Report any major damage to the golf course and/or equipment to the Assistant Golf Course Manager/Golf Course and Grounds Manager
- Maintain professional appearance i.e. shirt tucked in and following grooming policy
- Perform any additional duties as specified by the Golf Course and Grounds Manager and/or the Assistant Golf Course Manager

HEALTH & SAFETY:
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations and the Club’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Use or wear any equipment, protective devices, or clothing required by the club.
- Report to your manager/supervisor any known equipment or protective device that may be dangerous, missing, or defective.
- Report any known workplace hazard or violation of the Act or regulations to your manager/supervisor.
- Report all accidents, illness, or “near miss” incidents to your manager/supervisor immediately.
- Do not remove or disable any protective device
- Handle hazardous substances according to the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System regulations.
- Work safely and not use or operate any equipment in a way that may endanger any worker.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

Knowledge of landscaping and/or golf course maintenance is strongly recommended and preferred
- Good communication skills with a good working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining composure and performance standard during busy peak periods
- Must be comfortable working outdoors for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform lifting and mild strenuous activity
- Well-groomed, mannerly, co-operative, and outwardly friendly (team-oriented).
- Able to work shifts - days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Punctual and reliable
