Job Description:
Senior technologist with experience of leading or managing software development teams; operational management or management of production systems and with recent public cloud exposure. A devops mentality is useful where operational improvement will be packaged to be executed by engineering teams. The role requires leading the squad members; ensuring skills, team dynamics and task delivery meet client expectations. Requirement is to be hands on and provide leadership through demonstration and action. This is a highly active role where the successful candidate will be managing the client proactively and will be pushing client to make engineering fixes to alleviate operational inefficiencies. It requires a pragmatist that recognizes that operational work needs to be performed whilst a fix is being delivered. The role requires an eye for operational improvement; for people skills to manage rotas, holidays, sickness and still provide expected levels of client service. A desire to demonstrate team success through defining and measuring performance with suitable metrics is important to ensure team discussions are data based.

Minimum Key Skills Required

Production management / technology operations experience
Software dev (any language)
Azure native services engineering experience (implementation / troubleshooting)
