Staffmax is currently hiring a Lead Hand for   Galvanizing. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse or production professional who can effectively coordinate daily tasks, provide direction to team members, and support a safe and productive work environment.

Location:  Oxford St. Wnnipeg MB 
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00–$20.00/hour 

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily activities of warehouse and production employees.
• Communicate work assignments and priorities provided by supervisors.
• Assist with material handling, loading, unloading, and movement of steel products.
• Monitor workflow to ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained.
• Promote and follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Support training of new employees and provide guidance on job tasks.
• Work alongside the team to ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Report operational issues or safety concerns to management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Lead Hand, Team Lead, Warehouse Lead, or similar role.
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, steel, galvanizing, or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate and coordinate team members effectively.
• Forklift experience is considered an asset.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
• Reliable transportation is strongly preferred due to limited public transit access.

Schedule

• Training will be provided on day or evening shifts.
• Candidates must be flexible to work various shifts as operations expand.
• Future opportunities for additional shifts, including overnight operations.
