Job Title: Shipper/Receiver Lead Hand - Inventory Control Location: Inkster Park Area Shift: Day shift Monday - Friday (Able to work overtime) Wage: $22.00-26:00/hour (pending on experience) **Job Summary:** The Shipper/Receiver Lead Hand is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations while managing inventory control processes. This role ensures accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing products, maintains optimal inventory levels, and leads a team to achieve operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Supervision and Leadership:** - Lead and train a team of shippers and receivers. - Assign tasks and manage daily workflows to meet operational goals. - Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback. 2. **Shipping and Receiving:** - Oversee all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. - Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality control. - Prepare and coordinate outgoing shipments, including documentation and labeling. 3. **Inventory Control:** - Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software. - Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with annual inventory audits. - Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory levels. 4. **Process Improvement:** - Analyze shipping and receiving processes to identify areas for improvement. - Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. - Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations. 5. **Safety and Compliance:** - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse. - Promote a culture of safety among team members. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain management education is a plus. - Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory control, preferably in a lead or supervisory role. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Proficient in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment. - Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. **Working Conditions:** - Work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. - Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed. **Benefits:** - Competitive salary and benefits package. - Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
