Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting are currently assisting our client in Bolton Ontario with finding and hiring a Logistics Supervisor for their Cross Dock, Storage and Logistic solution company. They have a mission to be the best e-commerce and environmentally friendly company in Canada.
Wage: $50-60,000
Hours 7:30-4:30pm Monday- Friday
Reporting to Director of Logistics in Bolton
Must Haves:
- Re-organize and re-design the entire warehouse both in personal and process/Lean/shelving
- Hiring/termination exprience
- Problem solver, knows questions to ask to why and about improvement ideas
- Logistics experience required, prefer if in Trucking/LTL industry and understanding of all the stops/geography
- They oversee a massive network of couriers for deliveries
- 10% of time on shop floor, rest in office
- At location job, not work from home
- Able to work with staff that speak little English (Punjabi/Hindi would be an asset) to ensure saftey.
Duties:
- Supervising Team: 3
- Experience in Hiring and terminations
- Training on forklift
- Training on correct way to SKU and shelf items
- Monitoring the flow of all including RTV loads.
- Ensure the orders are flowing in a timely matter
- Updates are placed appropriately and within 48 hours.
- Monitoring transit times
- Ensuring container capacity
- Ensuring departments are properly staffed and maintained
- Monitor & Follow up OS&D inbound and outbound DCs
- Arrange Mis-ships transfers from DA to DA
- Report and update all Mis-ships to DCs
- Confirming that the team keeping up with their updates? 48-hour timeline
- Receive Pickups
- Set ETA to DA for orders arrived at MTL
- Daily Transportation Report email to update orders
- Make manifests for OB Trailers if necessary (CGY / VAN)
- Make sure Systems Updates are within 3 business days
- Make manifests for Trailers
- Schedule pickups at the Vendor
