Staffmax is assisting our Winnipeg client in the hire of a Logistics Coordinator to join a growing Third-Party Logistics team!
This is a full-time, permanent position with a starting salary of $43,000 to $48,000 dependent on experience. This role also carries benefits, including:

Your Duties Will Include:
- Joining the team for a morning meeting to distribute loads for the day
- Scouting, posting, and marketing freight rates to existing vendors
- Negotiation of 3PL freight brokerage with vendors
- Interaction with customs agencies as required
- Investigating and actioning emergent issues, including carrier follow-up, customs management, time-loss scenarios, etc
- Maintaining vendor accounts with regard to documentation for standards, insurance, safety inspections, etc
- Working with vendors and carriers to ensure accountability and compliance
- On-call evening emergency service rotation (1 day per week)
- Other duties as necessary
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in the transportation and logistics industry is essential
- Prior experience with 3PL brokerage is a strong asset
- Prior experience in transport/logistics administration is a strong asset
- Prior experience with negotiation and vendor relations is a strong asset.
