At Staffmax, We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Toronto, ON. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week. The selected candidate will also be required to be on call on a rotational basis to address any emergency situations that may arise.
Duration:
This position is initially for a couple of months, with the potential for extension based on business needs.
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: Months, with a possibility of extension.
- Pay Rate: Per hour.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Office Hours: Monday to Friday (depending on rotating on-call).
- Location: Lillian Street.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, repairing equipment, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting maintenance issues.
- Address emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential issues and ensure the proper functioning of equipment and facilities.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of plumbing and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in simple plumbing and electrical repair.
- Familiarity with a wide range of maintenance equipment and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to be on call for emergency situations on a rotational basis.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or working in confined spaces.
