Staffmax is assisting their client in search of a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Manager - Estimating & Project Management based at their headquarters in Edmonton. The client is more than 50 year old in the business and is spread across Canada!

Location: Edmonton

Salary: 90K - 120K

A key aspect of the role involves steering the team's project workflows, with a focus on defining processes and ensuring scalability in tandem with the company's growth. The group led by the Manager - Estimating & Project Management is tasked with supporting tenders from the opportunity stage through delivery and invoicing.
The preferred candidate will bring expertise in managing tender workflows, ensuring comprehensive communication with all stakeholders throughout the entire tendering process, and contributing to successful client outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the progression of project workflows to ensure the fulfillment of customer needs and alignment with the company’s objectives.
  • Work closely with Sales and Operations leaders to establish and adjust estimating and tendering strategies.
  • Collaborate with Sales leaders to contribute to forecasting efforts.
  • Examine and authorize contracts and related materials associated with project delivery. Keep clients, stakeholders, and executives informed with regular reports on project progress and performance.
  • Effectively identify and address project risks, considering both safety and financial aspects. Manage regulatory requirements and provide leadership and mentorship to emerging project professionals.
  • Develop resource plans in accordance with budgeted revenue.
  • Actively foster collaboration with counterparts in customer organizations to promote effective teamwork.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience required, with a preference for managing programs or large portfolios.
  • Possession of a post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferred PMP (Project Management Professional) designation.
  • Proven experience collaborating with consultants, general contractors, and governmental stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract and subcontract review.
