Role Overview
Staffmax is hiring a Material Handler / Lead for one of our clients in Richmond, BC. The ideal candidate is experienced in material handling, physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities

Package orders safely and securely according to standards and customer requirements

Transfer packaged orders to staging areas for shipment

Assist with shipping, receiving, and loading trucks, as well as order picking and packing

Process and manage paperwork related to shipments

Support warehouse housekeeping and equipment maintenance tasks

Perform all duties in compliance with health, safety, and environmental practices
Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
3–5 years of material handling experience, preferably in the metal processing or distribution industry

Sit-down counterbalance lift truck experience and side-loader operation preferred, with proper licensing

Ability to perform manual order picking, including lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs; requires high physical fitness

Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and Mainframes

Strong math skills and precision measuring capabilities

Attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of health and safety procedures, adhering to provincial regulations and company policies

Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
