Staffmax Is currently hiring Mechanical technicians for our Winnipeg based client. Are you mechanically inclined with an eye for detail? this position will be dealing with preventative maintenance and replacement for conveyor belts, pneumatics and hydraulics.
Wage: $20 - $25
Schedule: Monday to Friday
In this position, you will:
- Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
- Strong time management skills.
- Perform preventive checks according to preventive maintenance plans on equipment
- Complete breakdown, corrective and minor reports;
- Inspect, examine and test parts to recommend the extent and nature of the work to be done;
- Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance to ensure that work meets manufacturer’s specifications and the functional needs of the operation;
- Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Adjust, repair or replace defective parts and components of the equipment systems;
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on various equipment;
- Conduct final inspections to ensure that work order has been completed to meet safety standards;
- Improve equipment availability and efficiency through quality maintenance and failure analysis;
- Ability to work safely under pressure in the event of a breakdown.
- Proven maintenance experience.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
- Experience performing routine maintenance.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulics
