Position Overview
Staffmax is hiring a Licensed Trailer Technician for a full-time, permanent position in Moncton, New Brunswick.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a full range of trailer maintenance, diagnostics, and repair services. This includes routine preventive maintenance as well as troubleshooting and more complex repairs. The ideal candidate is skilled, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, assess, diagnose, and repair trailers to ensure all work meets quality standards.
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on trailers and transportation equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and other equipment issues and complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose and repair trailer systems and components.
- Complete work orders accurately and provide clear explanations of work performed.
- Ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to industry standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Train and support apprentices as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid provincial Certificate of Qualification / Red Seal certification in the applicable trade is preferred/required.
- Strong knowledge and competency in trailer maintenance and repair.
- Previous experience in a similar position is an asset.
- Experience with fabrication and welding is an asset.
- Experience with tailgate repairs is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of ABS diagnostic software.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and technical information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to follow workplace safety procedures.
