Mobile Commercial Truck & Trailer Tire Service Technician

$28 hour + (with additional pay for emergency after-hours calls)
8-5 PM including availability for emergency after-hours service
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Truck & Trailer Tire Service Technician to join our team. This role involves servicing commercial semi-trucks and trailers by performing tire removal, repair, installation, and maintenance. You will be provided with a fully equipped mobile service van/truck and will be responsible for assisting customers on the road and at various yard locations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations to perform on-site tire services for semi-trucks and trailers.
- Remove, install, rotate, balance, and repair truck and trailer tires using professional tools and equipment.
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper inflation, providing expert recommendations.
- Perform emergency roadside assistance for tire-related issues.
- Maintain an organized and stocked mobile service truck with necessary tools and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly communicating findings and recommendations.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure high-quality service.
- Complete accurate service reports and maintain records of work performed.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in truck and trailer tire service
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (required).
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy tires and equipment (up to 100 lbs).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including emergency after-hours service (with additional pay).
