Outside Sales Representative – Industrial Supplies

$50,000 – $60,000 Base + Commission + Car Allowance
About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established industrial supplies company, is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage a territory across the Greater Ottawa area.
This is a field-based role where you’ll work directly with shops and industrial clients—some existing, many new—helping identify operational challenges and delivering tailored solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Travel throughout the Greater Ottawa region to meet with new and existing clients
- Build relationships and develop new business opportunities within industrial shops
- Identify client needs, applications, and operational challenges
- Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers to recommend effective solutions
- Work with an inside sales team who will prepare quotes on your behalf
- Provide guidance and input on quotes; occasional research required for unique solutions
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking in HubSpot CRM (approx. 15–30 minutes daily)
- Attend occasional virtual meetings (minimal travel outside territory)

A wide range of industrial products, with a specialization in:
- Cutting tools
- Abrasives
- Fasteners
- General industrial supplies
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or industrial sales preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a territory
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in industrial products is a strong asset
- Comfortable using CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally
Compensation & Perks
- Base Salary: $50,000 – $60,000
- Uncapped Commission Structure
- Car Allowance: $850/month + gas card (or mileage reimbursement option)
