We are hiring an Outside Sales Representative for a permanent, full-time position with a mobile communications company in Ottawa. Where: Ottawa, ON

Wage: $50,000 - $60,000/year + commission + benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focused on prospecting through outbound calls to potential customers and follow up in a timely manner
  • Serve as the company's professional and reliable representative when dealing with customer communications via phone, email, etc.
  • Detective skills: Use market research and initiative to identify local prospects
  • Increase product knowledge to energetically showcase the TELUS solutions that we offer and pinpoint customer needs when qualifying them
  • Demonstrate an impressive aptitude for sales, suggest practical cross-sell bundle offers to boost revenue
  • A diligent note-taker: leverages business tools /software to track and document progress
  • Report weekly sales funnel, goals and objectives to manager and regional leaders
  • Maintain contact with existing clients to strengthen positive relationships, increase the quality of customer service, and encourage loyalty
  • Maintain a self-motivated and detail-oriented method with a strong focus on time management and problem solving
  • Attend trainings to stay up to date with the specifications of new products and service offerings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years outbound sales experience in the B2B / small business space
  • Experience as a sales representative, sales account manager, sales account executive, or background from outside sales
  • Additional experience as an outside sales consultant or territory sales manager will also be considered
  • Should have an existing base of clients
  • Should have good prospecting skills for business development
  • Should enjoy cold calling

With access to sell and support all Telus wireless and wireline products, this is a performance-based position with a base salary and competitive commission structure. As well, we provide fully paid training for new employees and have an attractive benefits package.
