Staffmax Staffing is helping our clients, a leading local distributor of engineered process equipment for the Central Canada industrial and municipal markets in recruiting a personable Outside Sales Representative to work out of their Winnipeg office. This permanent position comes with competitive salary, benefits, commission, and bonus opportunity in a great environment.

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the successful candidate will begin their career by providing inside technical product application and order support for our customers while additionally supporting outside sales personnel, including:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review bid specifications and provide quotations and operating recommendations to our customers.
  • Liaise between global manufacturers and central Canadian customers for products Power and Mine Supply represents.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships both internal & external by handling customer concerns / complaints and responding to customer inquiries.

Within 6-18 months, the candidate will assume a sales responsibility and territory to manage and interact with customers as a Technical Sales Representative. This will include:

  • Travel to customer sites and troubleshooting and building a relationship of trust and support with their customers.
  • Presenting solutions and ideas to customers in a one-on-one or group setting.
  • Providing on-site start-up and commissioning technical support.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail with strong documentation and follow up skills
  • Personable, easy to work with cheerful demeanour.
  • Post-Secondary education in mechanical engineering or civil, municipal, or mechanical technology program is preferred.- Offer excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), computer skills and customer service skills
  • Able to lead, organize, prioritize, and multitask
  • Capable of learning quickly and working independently, while embracing a team attitude
  • Does not want to work behind a desk and likes to be in the field.
  • Can demonstrate an ability to balance work-load with social activities and is comfortable interacting face-to-face with like minded individuals.

Salary:

  • $80,000/per annum ($120,000 potential annual earning)
  • Commission/Bonus pay
  • Vehicle Allowance/Mileage pay
