Staffmax is collaborating with our client in Winnipeg, MB to find a highly skilled Payroll & Benefits Representative. If you possess Dayforce experience, with a workday closely aligned to Dayforce, and hold a Payroll PCP certification, we want to hear from you.
Position Details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Friday: work from home)
- Equipment: Laptop and headset provided; additional equipment to be self-procured
- Salary: $46,000 to 69,000k
- Term: Temporary but with potential for permanent placement
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Downtown, Winnipeg, MB
Candidate Screening:
- In-person interviews will be conducted.
- Criminal background check is a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign employee numbers for new hires.
- Send welcome emails to new employees.
- Manage and maintain benefits and pension records.
- Generate reports for both Commercial and Residential sectors.
- Process Payroll and Benefit change forms, including updates in Dayforce for events like new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
- Handle leaves, communicate with employees on leave, collect benefit premiums, and update benefit coverage during leaves.
- Process payments for employees on leave, manage leave-related payroll, and facilitate transitions to LTD.
- Conduct timesheet follow-ups and send email reminders to leaders.
- Maintain Time Away From Work (TAFW) records.
- Process incoming payroll forms for compensation changes, employee profile updates, and benefit modifications.
- Manage the Payroll Inbox, investigating and handling incoming payroll-related emails.
- Reconcile Payroll reports at year-end and handle final vacation payouts.
- Fulfill requests for custom reports as needed.
