Pipeline Engineer

Staffmax is currently hiring a Pipeline Engineer for our Calgary based client, a large Oil and Gas operator. Shifts are Monday to Friday and candidates will require a vehicle and valid class 5 licence. 

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years experience within oil/gas pipeline industry
• A degree in Engineering from a recognized institution (Mechanical or Civil)
• P.Eng. with APEGA
• Thorough understanding of codes such as CSA Z662, ASME B3, etc

Key Responsibilities: 

• Manage scheduling, forecasting for the design work and for reporting these to the Pipeline Engineering Supervisor and Project Manager, and cost control
• Oversee both the design and construction of pipelines and supporting facilities
• Provide assistance in cost estimating
• Collaborate with 3rd party engineering firms with design reviews
• Help purchase materials and contract related service providers.
• Assist with on-site commissioning.
• Provide preliminary layout drawings and technical project descriptions 
• Develop and maintain records relating to the project at hand
