Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator

Location: Winnipeg, MB
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Evening Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Training: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) for approximately 3–4 weeks
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour to start, increasing to $20.00/hour after successful completion of the 3-month probation period, along with company benefits.

About the Opportunity

Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting is currently hiring a Plastic Extrusion Machine Operator for one of our valued clients in Winnipeg. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with an established manufacturing company offering long-term career growth, hands-on training, and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines to manufacture quality plastic products.

• Change dies and complete machine setups for production changeovers.

• Monitor product quality and perform regular inspections using calipers and other measuring tools.

• Perform minor machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting to maintain production efficiency.

• Ensure continuous machine operation while following production schedules and quality standards.

• Complete production records and report any equipment or quality concerns.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.

• Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs as required.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is preferred.

• Experience operating plastic extrusion equipment is considered a strong asset.

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Reliable with excellent attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting wage of $19.00/hour.

• Wage increase to $20.00/hour after successful completion of the 3-month probation period.
