Plumbing Project Manager/Estimator (New Home Construction)

Staffmax Staffing has partnered with our clients in the Plumbing & HVAC industry to hire a New Home Construction Project Manager/Estimator to join their Winnipeg team.

The New Home Construction Project Manager is the Plumbing & HVAC guardian for all new projects. Working collaboratively with the New Homes Manager, the Project Manager is responsible from the time of Estimate to Final completion of the project. Working alongside a site supervisor, you will grow and champion the ideal team that assists in the project's success. The Project Manager owns the project’s success through accurately estimating projects, timely delivery of materials, and timely installation.

Responsibilities:
• Quoting, coordinating teams, coordinating with vendors, and creation of project budgets & timelines
• This role assesses & evaluates frontline team member’s abilities to ensure the utmost quality is achieved and adjusts as necessary
• Assess the quality of workmanship via regular site audits throughout the project progression and suggest alternate installation methods to control time and material consumption.
• The Project Manager hosts weekly team meetings with Frontline to gauge project progression and review schedules. This is for all ongoing projects and upcoming projects.
• The Project Manager will report Estimated costing to actual costing in Excel.
• Track and report on health and safety for new home construction only.
• The Project Manager will assist in local builder networking events
• Issuing change orders, back charges, and RFI’s to other site supervisors & builder project managers

Qualifications & Experience:
• The ideal candidate will have 3 – 5 years of Project Manager experience in Plumbing and HVAC
• Is capable of managing time, and demonstrates the ability to champion teams
• Good knowledge of Windows/ Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
• Holds a valid Red seal Plumbing or HVAC certificate
• Holds a valid Class B Gas ticket (Considered, but not required to apply)
• Must hold a certified contractor’s license. M1 will also be considered

Salary:
$80,000-$90,000/year
