The Role & Responsibilities:_
- Schedule, coordinate, and attend all design , engineering and pre-production meetings with relevant parties and subsequently follow up on all task-oriented items from same.
- Assist engineer in preparing Bill of Materials
- Organize all project documentation (i.e. Drawings, specifications, submititals, etc.).
- Coordination with customer in terms of Shipment .
- Develop & Coordinate with Outsourcing Fabrication , Sheet Metal & Assembly Vendors in KW /GTA area.
- Follow , Track the progress of fabrication and assembly at the shop
- Follow, Track the progress of purchase items from vendors/suppliers.
- work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of all production materials
- collaborate with all departments ( Detailing, Engineering, Purchasing) to ensure timely completion
- Visit regularly the fabrication and assembly shop and inspect the quality and report progress.
- Issue RFQs to vendors and maintain a competitive advantage, assemble quotes and prepare preliminary sourcing analysis and vendor negotiation
- Following issuance of PO’s, follow up weekly on status of all work in progress and delivery of components
- Proactively recognize issues, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issues
- Ensure all outsourced components are built to production specifications.
Desired Skills & Experience:_
- Skilled Trade Diploma or Certificate.
- 5+ years experience in the field of manufacturing, production or project management.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Project.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Highly detailed & organized
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
