Overview:
Staffmax is currently hiring a Sewing Supervisor for our client, a well-established garment manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily sewing operations and maintaining production quality, efficiency, and team performance.
What You’ll Do:
As the Sewing Supervisor, you’ll oversee a team of sewing machine operators and ensure garments are produced accurately, on time, and to high quality standards. You will provide strong leadership and coordination on the production floor while also managing workflow, materials, and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of sewing machine operators

Ensure staff are properly trained, engaged, and meeting production expectations

Provide leadership, support, and direction to the sewing department

Plan production schedules and organize workflow to meet deadlines and order requirements

Monitor quality control standards and inspect finished garments to ensure compliance

Generate and manage daily production, attendance, and quality reports

Resolve production issues and recommend improvements for workflow and efficiency

Requisition and manage materials and supplies needed for sewing operations

Ensure compliance with safety, security, and workplace discipline procedures

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members

Communicate effectively with other departments and senior management
Must-Have Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on sewing experience in a production environment

At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in garment manufacturing

Proven experience in quality control processes

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Strong leadership and team-building abilities

Demonstrated ability to manage time, workflow, and staff performance effectively
