Pay and Benefits:
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Staffmax is recruiting a Program Manager on behalf of our client, an established organization supporting skills development, education, and career opportunities across Manitoba.
Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will lead the coordination and delivery of programs, events, and stakeholder initiatives, including a major annual provincial competition involving 45+ competitions, 500 competitors, and 400+ volunteers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, relationship-focused professional with experience in program management, event coordination, stakeholder engagement, education, nonprofit, or community programming.
Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, execute, and evaluate the organization's annual provincial skills competition.

Coordinate the delivery of programs across both Winnipeg and rural Manitoba.

Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of 400+ volunteers while supporting ongoing volunteer recruitment.

Coordinate with students, educators, schools, industry representatives, government partners, associations, and other stakeholders.

Develop annual program plans and budgets for approval.

Create program materials, activities, and resources for schools and stakeholders.

Engage corporate partners and sponsors in program activities and identify potential new partnership opportunities.

Represent the organization at conferences, trade shows, community events, and other external engagements.

Establish and maintain strong relationships across the education, government, and private sectors.

Research Manitoba labour market trends and post-secondary opportunities to support relevant programming.

Track program participation, engagement, and delivery metrics and prepare ongoing reports.

Provide additional support to the Executive Director and administrative team as required.
What We're Looking For

Experience in program management, project coordination, event coordination, community programming, or a related field.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Experience working with stakeholders, volunteers, partners, clients, or community groups.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Comfortable learning and working with databases, websites, and other digital tools.

Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
Additional Requirements

Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle.

Ability to travel to program locations throughout Manitoba approximately 3–4 times per year.

Flexibility to support major programs and events as required.
