Reporting to the Director, IT Business Services the Senior Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and close out of projects according to deadlines and budgets. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management personnel and stakeholders;
  • Set and effectively communicate project expectations in a timely and clear fashion and liaise with project stakeholders;
  • Plan, define, track, and schedule project timelines, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, success criteria using appropriate tools, determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas;
  • Conduct project post mortems and create recommendation reports to continuously improve project execution and management;
  • Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals and submit budget proposals to secure investment, and recommend subsequent budget changes;
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, including development of full- scale project plans, associated communications documents & delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel;
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path;
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations;
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans;
  • Lead project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Requirements:

  • University degree in the field of information technology or experience;
  • Minimum of 10 years direct work experience in a project management capacity including all aspects of process development and execution throughout the Software Delivery Life Cycle;
  • Minimum of 5 years knowledge and experience delivering ERP solutions, including Microsoft D365;
  • Experience with production floor technologies, including delivery of Supervisory Control and Data Analytics (SCADA) systems is desired;
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) is desired;
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning Concepts and application;
  • Experience with multi-site complex project delivery;
  • Knowledge of Agile Project management concepts and application;
  • Experience with Project Delivery and SDLC;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial;
  • Certification in project management is considered an asset;
  • Bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
