Staffmax Staffing and Recruiting is currently assisting our client to find an Office Manager for a Cooperative Housing and apartment/townhouse complex.

This very unique role will be tasked to update the office into a paperless environment including installing accounting and property management software

This housing co-op is not all subsidized rentals

2 years experience in property management experience a must

Compensation:

  • $40-55,000
  • 3 weeks vacation
  • Health and dental benefits
  • Free parking/close to bus route
  • Office casual dress code
  • Monday - Friday 9-5pm

Along with your part-time file/office clerk and two maintenance staff, your duties will include:

  • Managing 3 staff
  • Once a month board meetings attendance and reports
  • Managing all phone and email inquiries
  • Maintenance work orders, meet with maintenance personnel and discuss outstanding and any concerns
  • Contacting suppliers, installers, etc
  • Payroll for 4 staff, maintenance of benefit packages
  • AP and AR including maintaining the bank account, renter credit checks, collecting payment (Interac and cheque)
  • Working with Board to set a budget for New Year
  • Working with the auditor as needed
  • Walk around the property taking notes on maintenance and landscaping issues
  • Potential small claims court issues
  • Parking lot map
