Staffmax, a trusted staffing agency, is currently partnering with our client in Brampton, ON to fill the position of Maintenance Technician.
Position Type: This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement.
Pay Rate: $22-$27/hr
Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm with 1-hour lunch
Start Date: Immediate start date available.
Location: The position is based in Brampton, ON, and will be required to work at multiple sites.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED
- MUST HAVE A VEHICLE AND BE ABLE TO WORK ON-CALL
Duties which include:
Plumbing:
- Repair, replacement, or installation of faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, washing machines
- Identifying and fixing leaks and plumbing issues within the building or units
Snow Removal:
- Shoveling, blowing, or plowing snow away from sidewalks, common areas, and driveways
- Applying rock salt to prevent slipping and maintaining snow logs
Customer Service:
- Professional and courteous correspondence with residents when scheduling and providing maintenance services
- Coordination with contracted vendors for additional facility services
Time Management:
- Organized scheduling and tracking system, typically paper-based
- Completion of all maintenance requests in a timely manner
Electrical:
- Replacement or installation of power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, and garage door openers
Drywall Repair:
- Filling in small holes caused by nails or minor damage from normal wear and tear
Painting:
- Minor touch-ups following damage repair
Appliance Repair:
- Replacement or installation of refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers, dryers, and microwaves
Groundskeeping:
- Winterization of terraces and common areas
- Watering plants in offices and pots
- Replacing light bulbs in common areas and parking areas
- Power washing terraces and entryways
Cleaning:
- Maintaining tidiness in maintenance storage, office, and parking garage
- Cleaning fitness center
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance roles
