Quality Technician - manufacturing
Pay and Perks:
- $60-70,000 5 yrs exp

What You’ll Do:

Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure they meet our high-quality standards.

Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product specifications.

Prepare and review quality documentation, including non-conformance reports (NCR), first article inspections (FAI), and Certificates of Conformance (CoC).

Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.

Identify and report non-conforming products or processes, collaborating with the team to implement corrective actions.

Assist in root cause analysis and develop preventive solutions to maintain product integrity.

Participate in the preparation and submission of quality documentation, such as PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEA.

Monitor and analyze statistical process control (SPC) data to ensure consistent quality throughout production.

Conduct and support internal audits to maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications.

Work closely with suppliers to address and resolve quality concerns.

Track and report key quality performance indicators, including defect rates and customer feedback.

Support customer complaint resolution through root cause analysis and implementation of 8D reports.

Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring quality issues are addressed efficiently.

Conduct calibration and maintenance of measurement tools.

Support internal audits and ensure compliance with quality certifications.
What We Look For:
-
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Mechanical Engineering Technology Certificate.

At least five years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Knowledge of materials and processes including plastics, metal fabrication, rubber, castings, and stampings.

Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
-
A proactive, energetic, and team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic.
-
Experience with ISO 9001, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
-
Background in manufacturing processes for electronics, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
