Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for their manufacturing and production line in Winnipeg. 
You must come with an Engineering or quality background in the automotive or similar type industry and 3 years of experience is a must

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Inspector who takes pride in keeping high standards and helping improve processes on the production floor. If you’re methodical, creative, and enjoy making sure things are done right, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing

  • Inspect incoming materials, parts during production, and finished products to make sure they meet quality standards

  • Use precision tools like calipers and micrometers

  • Fill out and review quality documents like non-conformance reports (NCRs), first article inspections (FAIs), and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs)

  • Help keep inspection equipment properly calibrated and in good condition

  • Spot and report any products or processes that don’t meet standards

  • Assist in finding root causes and putting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in place

  • Help investigate problems and work on fixes to prevent them from happening again

  • Take part in internal audits to maintain ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications

  • Support customer complaints by helping with root cause analysis and contributing to 8D reports

What we’re looking for

  • A technical diploma or certificate in Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or a related role

  • Some understanding of GD&T is a plus

  • Familiarity with quality systems and methods like ISO 9001, SPC, FMEA, and PPAP

  • Solid background in general manufacturing processes

  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma is a bonus

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CAD tools like SolidWorks

  • Some knowledge of materials like plastics, metals, rubber, castings, and stampings
