Shift: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Overtime: Possible evenings and weekends based on operational needs
Starting Wage: $23.00/hour

Position overview

We are currently hiring an Entry-Level Rebar Fabrication Machine Operator to join a busy steel fabrication facility. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating machinery, and working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Minimum qualifications

  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate bar measurements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

  • Reliable transportation to and from work

  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends when required

Key responsibilities

  • Operate rebar fabrication equipment, including:

    • Bending machines to fabricate reinforcing steel to required dimensions

    • Shearing machines to cut reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths

    • Overhead cranes to move, assemble, and select materials for fabrication or shipping

  • Unload trailers and organize materials into storage bins

  • Assemble and load customer orders onto trailers for shipment

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

  • Assist team members with fabrication, material handling, and shipping tasks

  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures

Physical and work environment

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work

  • Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty, hot, and cold environment

  • Work is performed in an outdoor enclosed shop exposed to varying weather conditions
