Staffmax is currently accepting applications for journeyman/woman plumbers for one of our esteemed clients for immediate hire. Experience in customer service is considered an asset.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman/woman certification (must be red seal and with A gas fitter licence)
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
- Ability to read and follow building plans and rough drawings
- Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
- Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
Job Responsibilities:
- Preform service calls with quality workmanship.
- Communicate with office/customers.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
- May prepare cost estimates.
- Maintain a clean work van, and keep track of stock and inventory inside the van.
- Treat customers homes extremely well, and keep work areas clean.
- Other duties as assigned

Salary: $42-48/hour
