We have an exciting opportunity for a Refrigeration Operator / Class B - Ice Rink Technician in beautiful Ottawa.
Duties:
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of specialized equipment, cleaning of the facilities, grounds, and equipment for operations,
- Operates and performs general maintenance throughout the facility( HVAC, food service equipment, refrigeration, etc.)
- Keeps accurate records of his assignments,
- Works by standard operating procedures, work schedules, reporting systems,
- Maintenance of the fire system ensuring emergency procedures are followed,
- Drives Zamboni and maintains the ice pad,
- Assists with other repairs and maintenance as necessary.
Requirements:
- Class B, TSSA, Refrigeration Operator or similar,
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience,
- Knowledge of interpreting blueprints and schematics related to the position,
- Strong general technical knowledge,
- Knowledge of OHSA precautions,
- Availability for shift work, some weekends, unusual shifts,
- Customer-facing experience and positive personality,
- Experience using Zamboni or similar machinery.
