Staffmax is currently searching for a Regulatory and Compliance specialist for our Calgary based client within the Oil and Gas industry. This individual will be responsible for the end-of-life management of capital assets. This role will include site visits, planning, managing, and completing large and complex decommissioning and abandonment projects in across Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Well abandonment along with remediation and reclamation activities.
- Create detailed site assessments - estimating work packages and reports, work scopes, procedures, estimates and schedules in support of decommissioning and abandonment projects
- D13 Inspection and Regulatory responsibilities
- Surface casing
- Vent testing
- Testing packer isolation
- Oversee regulatory inspections
- Perform low, medium, & high-risk inspections for sites and wellheads
- Casing integrity testing
- running pressure test units
- Ensure that the quality of project objectives are met
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders
- Maintain working client relations
- Superior attention to detail
- Identify QA/QC measures and implement improvements
- Implement and support administrative functions, striving for efficiency
Qualifications:
- 5 years of pipeline and well abandonment and demolition projects
- Echometer system experience is preferred
- Experience in low, medium, and high-risk regulatory inspections for sites and wellheads
- Experience performing earned value analysis
- Abadata Oil and Gas Map software experience is an asset
- Valid Class 5 licence
