 Repair Technician, Operations (Electronics)

Repair Technician will be responsible to work on every step of the manufacturing process, from design to production. They must identify possible improvements in product design and the assembly & Test line processes. You will be responsible in providing technical support and guidance to the manufacturing team on day-to-day activities. You possess in depth knowledge of basic electronic circuits, power management circuits, protection circuits, integrated circuits, etc.

Range: 50K – 60K/yr + Benefits
Term: Fulltime-Permanent


Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections, testing, and updating electronic systems, components, equipment, and software and provide design inputs.
• Ability to quickly isolate faulty components and repair the defective circuit. 
• Recognizing the way, a circuit may malfunction and develop standard repair procedures.
• Liaising with engineering team, other functions as needed, as well as clients to ensure quality projects are completed to specifications.
• Developing effective maintenance, testing, and quality control procedures.
• Monitoring processes, systems, and staff, and punctually identifying problems. Lead bag & tag process for NCs, MRB and material dispositions.
• Writing specifications, instructions, reports, and handling other required administrative duties.
• Troubleshooting of PCBAs and electronic modules.
• Hands-on knowledge in making test setups and test procedures.
• Familiarity in dealing with customer returns.
• Possesses experience in working with communication protocols like UART, RS232, I2C, USB, RS485 etc.
• Ability to implement and follow quality processes such as root cause analysis, corrective, and preventive actions.
• Familiar with BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, quality metrics, ECO/ECN process.
• Ability to work under pressure and yield outstanding results in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands on experience with DMM. Oscilloscope, signal generator, Power supplies, and hand soldering.
• Outstanding ERP and IT skills.
• Creating prototypes

Qualifications and Experience: 
• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree preferable.
• 4+ years working (electronics board and component level repair) experience in a similar role.
• Strong written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
• Fine motor skills including soldering, assembly, integration & testing.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to meet schedule deadlines.
• Critical eye for identifying defects.
• Excellent research and interpersonal skills. Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current.
• Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly and testing processes.
• Willing to work overtime, if required
